This picture shows icebergs and some ships near them. Icebergs are great bodies of solid ice, reaching much higher than the masts of a ship, and extending downward to a great distance below the surface of the water. They will float in the water, and every year some ships are wrecked by coming in contact with them.

Icebergs are most numerous in the Arctic Ocean.
